Dodge Coverage programs can either extend the original level of coverage that came with your vehicle, or offer you a limited extended warranty plan. These plans are accepted nationwide at all Dodge dealers, and also afford you with most of the benefits usually granted with new car purchases. Dodge Extended Warranties - Alternative ProviderAlthough Dodge offers a very good extended warranty, many consumers feel more comfortable with an althernative extended warranty provider. You should investigate your options before picking your extended warranty plan.

The complete vehicle is covered, including tires, towing to your nearest Dodge dealership, and cosmetic corrosion resulting from defects. Repairs will be made to correct any vehicle defect, and most warranty repairs will be made at no charge. Basic Limited WarrantyDodge vehicles have a basic limited warranty that covers the cost of all parts and labor needed to repair any defective item on your vehicle supplied by DaimlerChrysler Corporation that is defective in material, workmanship or factory preparation. There is no list of covered parts since the only exception is tires. You pay nothing for these repairs. These warranty repairs or adjustments — including all parts and labor connected with them — will be made by your dealer at no charge, using new or remanufactured parts.But the following items are covered only for 12 months or for 12,000 miles on the odometer, whichever occurs first:
Powertrain Limited WarrantyDodge vehicles have a Powertrain Warranty that covers the cost of all parts and labor needed (less a $100 deductible per repair visit at the end of the 3 Year/36,000 Mile Basic Limited Warranty) to repair a defective powertrain component on your vehicle listed in your owners manuals warranty section. See your Dodge dealer for terms of this limited warranty. Corrosion WarrantyDodge vehicles have a Corrosion Warranty that covers the cost of all parts and labor needed to repair or replace any sheet metal panels that get holes from rust or other corrosion. If a hole occurs because of something other than corrosion, this warranty does not apply. Cosmetic or surface corrosion — resulting, for example, from stone chips or scratches in the paint — is not covered. See your Dodge dealer for terms of this limited warranty. An Important Note About Alterations and WarrantiesInstallations or alterations to the original equipment vehicle (or chassis) as distributed by Dodge are not covered by the Dodge New Vehicle Limited Warranty. The special body company, assembler, equipment installer, or upfitter is solely responsible for warranties on the body or equipment and any alterations (or any effect of the alterations) to any of the parts, components, systems, or assemblies installed by Dodge . Dodge is not responsible for the safety or quality of design features, materials, or workmanship of any alterations by such suppliers.
